Virgin Australia reveals new Premium Economy cabin

Virgin Australia has unveiled the designs for its new Premium Economy cabin, which will launch later this year...

The new Premium Economy cabin will feature an exclusive and intimate cabin size of just 24 seats, which all have more legroom than any other Australian airline. Flying Premium Economy you'll also get a plated meal service, tailored to you and accompanied by a selection of wines from the Business Class cellar, and there'll be a Premium Larder, where you'll be able to help yourself to snacks and drinks.

But the Premium Economy experience doesn't just start once you're on the plane, you'll also receive a dedicated check-in area, priority boarding and priority baggage (up to 64kg of baggage), meaning you'll spend less time dealing with the airport formalities and more time relaxing while you travel.

Virgin Australia Chief Customer Officer Mark Hassell said: “We understand that Premium Economy guests want to arrive at their destination feeling refreshed and taken care of. We have therefore designed a more spacious and comfortable Premium Economy cabin and product, with a service that many other airlines reserve for their Business Class.
