This watch band has batteries to keep your Apple Watch charged at all times

The two most annoying things about the Apple Watch are that you really have to charge it every night and it only charges with the MagSafe dock it comes with.

The proprietary charging dock makes it hard to recharge the Apple Watch when you're on the go and the battery runs low. A new Kickstarter product called the PRIME Strap claims to be able to fix both of those "shortcomings."

The PRIME Strap is a metal watch band that holds two 150 milliamp-hour (mAh) batteries. These can be swapped in and out at will and should recharge an Apple Watch roughly up to 1.3 times (Apple watch has a 205 mAh) battery. An indicator above and below the Apple Watch shows each battery's status.

Brilletark, the company behind the band, says it supplies power to the Apple Watch via the six-pin port hidden inside of the slot where the band goes in. Though the band isn't an official charging method (Apple only lists it as a "Diagnostic port," fans have discovered it is indeed possible to use the port for charging the Apple Watch.

The batteries themselves can also be placed into a round mobile power bank and turned into a mini battery pack for charging your iPhone via its retractable Lightning cable, which is admittedly kind of cool.
