Leaked images may have revealed touchscreen-equipped GoPro Hero 5

GoPro's Hero 5 action camera may have leaked thanks (as always) to the internet.

A Japanese blog called Nokishita posted images and specs of what is believed to be GoPro's latest action camera.

The images and specs were removed from the site, but not before several places like Mirrorless Rumors and Mashable friend and GoPro enthusiast Konrad Iturbe saved and screenshot them.

The alleged Hero 5 camera has a GoPro logo on the backside next to the purported touchscreen. The frontside is marked with "PVT3" (Production Validation Test 3), suggesting GoPro could be preparing to mass manufacture the camera for a launch very soon.

The leaked images corroborate an earlier instructional video that leaked. The video showed off a new touchscreen interface never before seen on a GoPro and hinted at the removal of the GoPro BacPac.

The dimensions of the Hero 5 also look to be slightly larger, measuring 62mm x 44.6mm x 32.7mm versus the Hero 4 Black's 59 x 41 x 30mm.

A freshly leaked image of what is believed to be a waterproof "Super Suit" housing for the Hero 5 also appeared on Imgur (below). Iturbe believes the Hero 5 will be waterproof up to 10 feet, but for deeper submersion, users will need the Super Suit case.
