Lamborghini's $2.3-million Centenario Roadster is already sold out

Lamborghini just unveiled the Roadster version of the most powerful car it has ever built. And it's already sold out.

To celebrate its 100th anniversary earlier this year, Lamborghini unveiled the limited-edition, $1.9-million Centenario Coupe supercar. More than just a present to itself, the Centenario looks like what a bumble bee might design, if it were trying to build a super weapon.

Turns out, though, the Coupe isn't the bee-all (sorry, not sorry) and end-all of the Centenario design. There's a much more expensive Roadster version, too.

Unlike the comparably downright affordable Coupe, the Centenario Roadster costs $2.3 million. For that sizable lump sum, buyers get a topless Italian supercar powered by a V12 engine that produces 770 horsepower, good for a 0 to 62 mph run in 2.9 seconds on the way to its top speed of "more than" 217 mph.

What's more, the Centenario is the fist Lamborghini to offer Apple CarPlay on its 10.1-inch touchscreen. It also boasts two interior digital cameras that, just like the Coupe, can record (and later share) the terrified faces of both you and your passenger as you try to reach the Centenario's top speed.

As awe-inspiring as the car is, what is perhaps even more astounding is that all 20 Centenario Roadsters were sold before it even debuted. So, even if you could afford to buy one, you've already missed your chance to do so.
